Syllabus for Entrance Examination for Admission to Sainik Schools
The All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination 2024-25 scheduled to be held on 21 Jan 2024 at various examination centres across the country for Admission in Class VI and IX to all 33 Sainik Schools. Eligible aspirants, who are wishing to get admission to Sainik Schools are advised to go through the complete syllabus of the examination, study hard according to the syllabus released by the National Testing Agency consultant with Sainik Schools Society Admission Cell. Syllabus for All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) for Class VI and IX are provided below respectively.
Sainik Schools Entrance Examination syllabus for Class VI
The question paper of entrance examination for admission to Sainik Schools for Class VI have Four Sections and candidates have to answer all the questions in the OMR sheet which will be provided separately. Section ‘A’ Mathematics having 50 questions of 3 marks each, Section ‘B’ General Knowledge (GK), Section ‘C’ Language, Section ‘D’ Intelligence contains 25 questions of 2 marks each respectively. Section ‘C’ is specific and candidates attempt in the language (English/Hindi/Regional Language) opted at the time of online apply. Maximum marks of question paper are 300 marks and total time for to solve the paper is 2.30 hours. Question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi) however, the language portion of Regional Language other than English/Hindi will be provided by concerned school separately. There is no negative marking for unanswered questions and wrong answers. Candidates should scored minimum of 40% aggregate marks and a minimum of 25% marks in each subjects/sections to qualify AISSEE.

In this section, generally questions are from basic Science and Social Studies up to the primary standard will be asked. The topics on which the maximum number of questions were asked in previous year’s examinations are:
General Science. Plants & Animals, Living things and non-living things and their Interdependence, Human body, Diseases, Food & Nutrition, Rocks and Minerals, Air, Water, and Weather, Natural Satellite, Natural Calamities, Environment, Inventions etc.

In these sections, generally questions are from Science up to the Middle School standard ie (Class VIII) will be asked. The topics on which the maximum number of questions were asked in previous year’s examinations are:
The Universe, Soil, Air, Transformation of substances, Structure of Atom, Metals and non-metals, Carbon, Cell structure of function, Micro organisms, Refraction of light, Electricity and Magnetism, Sources of Energy, Common diseases, Food production and management. Candidates are advised to cover the syllabus in details of Classes VI, VII and VIII as per NCERT text books for Science to score more in this section.
Sainik Schools Entrance Examination syllabus for Class IX : Social Studies
This section further divided into three sub-sections ie History, Civics and Geography.
