Admission to RMS 2021-22
Rashrtiya Military Schools admit boys only in classes VI & IX. Admission in class XI will be on the basis of class X board examination result subject to the availability of seats in the respective school. No examination conducted for admission to class XI.
Application for Common Entrance Test invited by the respective Schools in the month of Sep/Oct every year. All Schools conduct admission procedure for their own school only, hence candidates are advised to apply for concerned School in which he desired to take admission. Common Entrance Test for admission to class VI and IX is conducted in the month of Dec every year across the country on All India basis. Final result is prepared by IHQ of MoD (Army) (MT-14/15), Ministry of Defene. Selected candidates are informed directly to report to the school for admission.
Eligibility for Admission to RMS 2021-22
Age of candidates should be 10-11 years for Class VI, 13-14 years for class IX and 15-16 years for class XI as on 1st Jul of the year in which admission is sought. For admission to class 9th the boys should be studying in Class VIII in a recongised school. Birth certificate issued by authorized authority/Registrar of Births &Death of concerned state/UT are accepted as proof of age. No other mean of birth certificate are accepted.
Age Relaxation. Six months relaxation is applicable to the wards of War Widow/JCOs/OR killed in action.
