United Nations Organization

The United Nations is an organization of 193 member countries which have pledged to maintain International Peace, Security, cooperate in solving International Political, Economic, Social, Cultural and Humanitarian problems.  The United Nations membership has grown from its initial 51 Member Countries in 1945 to present 193 Members after admitting the South Sudan as 193rd Member on 14 July 2011.
