India rolled out the world’s largest vaccination drive its in history on 16 Jan 2021 to vaccinate 300 million priority citizens above 45 years of age including 30 million   health workers directly dealing with COVID patients, against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).  Vaccination administrated at 3,335 centres in all its states and Union Territories. 

Covishield manufactured at the Serum Institute of India  and Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin are available in all States and Union Territories.  

 To avoid rush/crowed at vaccination centres, Government of India launched online vaccination registration portal for all citizens above 18 years of age, get schedule vaccination appointment and centre as per their choice from 01 May 2021.  Now, it is not necessary  to visit in person at vaccination centres for registration.  All citizens above 18 years of age can register online through their mobile via CoWin.gov.in, Aarogya Set App and UMANG App.
